I grew up in Bakersfield with my amazing parents and 3 older sisters. I had a great childhood enhanced by my supportive family and friends. I attended UC Davis and obtained my B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Out of college, I was swept into the Silicon Valley computing circus where I spent 20 years designing, and then managing teams and marketing products to enhance technological growth. It paid well, but I was missing out on the things that were important to me; my family and my community.
Teaching is my third career and has proven to be my favorite. I began teaching in 2002 after earning my credential at Fresno State University. Although I hold several credentials, I began teaching Math and segued over to the Science field. I enjoy working with students and, as my family would say, I am a child at heart. Teaching is not an easy career, but certainly, the most fulfilling.
I have been happily married for over 25 years, and during this time we have raised 3 fantastic children.
On my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, boating, camping....just about anything that takes me outside.
I am excited to be part of the Gaucho family and am looking forward to a successful school year!
